Friends and Fun

Today I went to the beach/bay with some pals.

The weather was so beautiful...almost 90 degrees.

Anyways, we got to play with some awesome munchkins.  We love having so many new and fun friends.

Cache was a little afraid of the water and to take off his shirt (that was a battle). 

But later, he warmed up to the idea and finally took it off.  I can't wait to play more at the beach and to start surfing more this summer.  Booo for me not surfing!

My Itch

The Sunset tonight was beautiful.

We had a little taste of Spring today as the rains and storms have passed.

It's about this time of year that I get an itching for summer and believe me, this itch is just dying to be scratched.  Blahhhhhh...

Bath Time

Arrrrrr Me Maties....

So....I'm learning to sew...not so good at it...but I am desperately trying to be good at it.

Anyhow, Cache has been cashing in on some of the things I have been trying to make.  I made this applique pirate shirt for him.  He had told me after I made the Owl Onsie for Velzy, that he too wanted a shirt of sorts.  Being the little pirate he is, I thought it only necessary to make him one.  

Thanks Traci for teaching me some of your knowledge this last week...I am practicing!

Remind me to never...

Hand-stich anything ever again...too much work and made my arthritis unbearable...but excited for Velzy to wear her new owl shirt.  I got it from my sister's blog, Amazing Mae.

Disneyland...Again

We went to Disneyland again and it was awesome! Logan's folks met up with us there and we had such a blast.  Cache was amazing and he loved the Coy pond at the hotel.  Velzy enjoyed all of the new sights and she was extremely patient with us.  It's always nice to see Bob and Carla, but mixed with Disneyland it soooo awesome.  I made Cache and Velzy some Minnie and Mickey Mouse T-shirts.  It wasn't too crowded and the weather was perfect.  Thank you Bob and Carla for the amazing weekend and for the pictures!

Nap Time Disturbed

One of Cache's favorite things to do is climb in Velzy's crib.  So I decided to take some pictures of them loving one another.  Cache loves his sister a lot.  The bottom picture is one my mom took for her photo class. I'd say she is getting really good.  I can't complain because I'm usually the one behind the camera, so it's nice to see a picture or two of myself with my family.

My Velzy Bell

This is my baby girl.  We love her so much and I love taking pictures of her.  I take pictures of her to show off her beautiful blue eyes that I wish I had.  She is such a lucky girl to have gotten them from her daddy.  We always talk about how her eyes look very feline...like a cat.  

She is the best baby.  She is so easy on me and with a spit fire like Cache, she is just what the doctor ordered.  She is so sweet and laughs ALL OF THE TIME (Except when I was taking these pictures).

Today Cache was very interested in what his daddy was doing outside.  Logan was fixing the timing belt on his dad's truck while we have been borrowing it.  Cache wanted to help him out, so he grabbed any tool he could find and tried his darndest to help daddy.  It was so sweet so I quickly grabbed my camera to take pictures of such a precious moment.  His hands were so dirty after so I let him play in the faucet to get those little grubby hands clean.  He was so cute and I am proud of him for wanting to get his hands dirty with his daddy

Lately we have been everywhere.  Sometimes I wish I had the excuse to stay home because I am snowed in or its raining too hard to go anywhere.  But unfortunately, it is most of the time, beautiful here most of the time.  I get this nagging feeling that I must get out too and do things with Cache so that he doesn't just grow up one day and leaves me for college.  So off to the zoo, the park, the store, or where ever the wind takes us we go to enjoy the sun and the freedom of our walls.  I've been trying to take more pictures lately too.  

Other than that, Velzy had her four month appointment.  She is a healthy girl weighing in at 14lbs and 25 1/2 in long.  She is now sitting up for the most part, rolling over, babbling, bubbling, screaming, and laughing.  Cache is quite talkative-anyone who has been around him knows that kid can talk your ear off.  But we laugh constantly at the babble that comes out of his mouth.  The other day I was putting him  down for a nap and I moved his juice cup away from my arm because it was really cold. He then proceeded to say to me in a very upset voice, "Momma, you shouldn't do that!" I asked him what I shouldn't do and he said, "You shouldn't move my arm, it makes me feel sad!"  I didn't even know what to say to that.  Anyways we love these cute babes.  They make my day better (most days).
